We're seeking a dedicated Patient Services Clerk to join our dynamic team at Yorke & Northern Local Health Network (YNLHN). This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of our patients, clients, and visitors while ensuring a seamless administrative experience.
**About This Role**
As a Patient Services Clerk, you will be responsible for the provisional registration of all overnight and day inpatients, as well as managing planned and unplanned patient activity. You will deliver high-quality, confidential, customer-focused administrative support to clients, staff, and visitors at Clare Hospital. Your role will be vital in ensuring smooth operations within the Patient Services Department. Key responsibilities include:
- Provisional registration of Inpatient, Outpatient, and Emergency activity.
- Accurate and timely processing of Outpatient and Emergency data.
- Providing exceptional customer service to clients, staff, and visitors.
- Operating the switchboard for the Health Unit and Community Health.
- Filing and scanning of client information within medical case notes, ensuring data integrity.
- Collating medical case notes on the discharge of clients from the health service.
- Participating in a rotating team, being proficient in all aspects of Patient Services duties.
- Working autonomously on particular shifts while collaborating with team members.
**Essential Criteria**
To thrive in this role, you should possess:
- Strong organisational and multitasking skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in data entry and familiarity with medical record management.
**Shift Details**
- This role requires shift work on a rotating 7-day, 24-hour roster, ensuring coverage across all service needs.
- Full-time or part-time hours will be considered to suit your availability.
