* Full time, fixed term (4-year) position primary located at our Hawthorn campus
* SUPRA scholarship, with industry top-up scholarship

About The Role

Swinburne University of Technology has launched a world-class research collaboration with Boeing Aerostructures Australia Pty Ltd and CSIRO Data61 to drive next-generation innovation in aerostructures and sustainable advanced manufacturing.

This is your opportunity to undertake a fully funded 4-year PhD at the forefront of aerospace engineering — with a $12,000 per annum stipend top-up plus additional annual research support funding.

For this project 'Design for Sustainability of High-Rate, Out-of-Autoclave Advanced Composite Processes' you will optimise aerospace composite manufacturing using model-based engineering, digital twins and data-driven design to improve performance, cost, production rate and environmental outcomes.

About You

You are an Australian citizen with:

* A 4-year Bachelor/Honours (1st or 2nd class) and/or relevant Master's degree
* Background in engineering or science
* Strong research aptitude and teamwork skills

Industry R&D, simulation or model-based engineering experience is highly regarded. Ability to obtain a Working With Children Check and complete a police check is required.
