At Sunset, pride and achievement are our norm as we guide every child toward their brightest future.About the RoleKey Responsibilities:Perform repairs and maintenance on school infrastructure, including furniture, equipment, locks, and windows, while keeping records aligned with Work Health and Safety (WHS) standards.Support the setup and logistics for school events such as assemblies, performances, and major functions.Manage delivery and distribution of mail, parcels, documents, and messages across the school with accuracy and efficiency.Operate and maintain security systems, including managing alarms and locking/unlocking facilities during core hours.Communicate effectively with the Principal, Business Manager, or delegated staff regarding maintenance schedules, urgent repairs, and facility priorities.Identify, diagnose, and resolve maintenance issues across plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and general school infrastructure.Coordinate with external contractors to ensure timely and effective repairs and maintenance.Assist with groundskeeping tasks such as clearing drains, collecting waste, hosing gutters, and supporting event setups for fetes, plays, and sporting events.Ensure compliance with WHS requirements, including safe use of chemicals, equipment maintenance, and hazard reporting.Support additional security tasks, including banking of school funds and maintaining safety protocols on school grounds.Preferred Skills and Qualifications:Proven hands-on experience in building maintenance and repairs.Familiarity with WHS practices and maintenance record-keeping.Strong problem-solving skills for common maintenance issues.A driver's licence is preferred but not essential.How to ApplyAttach a brief resume including contact details for 2 referees (referees should have an understanding of your relevant work history).
