Majestic Young Plants is a propagation nursery and horticultural company, supplying wholesale markets both in Australia and internationally with high quality plant material.
We are located in Healesville, Victoria. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced horticulturist/scientist to oversee our laboratory tissue culture program.
**Key responsibilities-**
- Oversee laboratory operations
- Assist with nursery plant health and hygiene
- Oversee nursery mother-stock for tissue culture initiation material
- Relationship management of recent and existing suppliers
- Drive growth through new program development, of new and existing tissue culture programs
- Be willing to adopt and implement a continuous improvement philosophy
**Requirements-**
- Bachelor level qualification in a crop science or plant biotechnology discipline
- Experienced applicants of at least 1 year of tissue culturing
- Strong knowledge of vegetative and tissue culture production techniques
- Plant knowledge and understanding
- Experience in horticulture supply chain and procurement.
- Laboratory operations experience a necessity
The successful applicant will work in conjunction with our Operations Director and Managing Director, General Manager & Production Manager.

Pay: $80,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
