Role Overview
The Department of Health Tasmania is seeking a highly skilled and motivated General Surgery Fellow to develop their skills and contribute to the delivery of high-quality surgical services.
This role offers broad exposure to general surgery, including operating, emergencies, and clinic settings, providing opportunities for professional growth and development in a dynamic and supportive work environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and implement targeted activities to improve the delivery of general surgical services to patients, including undertaking approved outpatient and inpatient services.
* Provide leadership and mentoring for surgical registrars and RMOs in training, participating in after-hours Registrar/Consultant on-call rosters.
* Contribute to quality improvement, audit, and service improvement within the Department of Surgery, responsible for day-to-day management of private and public inpatients and outpatients.
