The newly developed ***PTSD Recovery Centre*** in Wagga Wagga offers a comprehensive, specialised occupational psychology and counselling services. We provide a suite of recognised clinical programs, complemented by holistic services like exercise physiology. This vital service is specifically designed for serving ADF members, first responders, and veterans, bringing essential trauma recovery treatment closer to their homes in local communities. **About Wagga Wagga** Nestled by the sparkling Murrumbidgee River, only 2.5/3 hours' drive to Canberra and with easy travel options to Sydney, Wagga Wagga is the heart of the Riverina NSW, that is quickly becoming a popular destination for individuals and families. The quality of life is one of Wagga Wagga's biggest attractions, offering residents a variety of amenities, schools (including a university), shops, and a delicious food and wine scene, all within easy reach.**Your role at St John of God Wagga Wagga**We are seeking applications for **Psychologists** to join our new mental health service in Wagga Wagga, on a permanent full-time or part-time basis.This is a rare opportunity to be part of something truly meaningful – helping to shape a groundbreaking service that brings essential trauma recovery care closer to the communities that need it most.. You will join a dedicated, collaborative team in a purpose-built community setting, working within a recovery-oriented and trauma-informed model of care.Whether you're looking for a new professional challenge or a regional lifestyle change, this role offers both. As well as a competitive salary, relocation assistance (interstate) is also on offer to help you settle in and enjoy the benefits of living in beautiful Wagga Wagga.**The Position*** Provides individualised and group clinical care based on professional training reflecting current ethical clinical practice as required.* Provides comprehensive assessment and care planning monitoring client progress adjusting treatment accordingly.* Evaluates clinical outcomes and participates in research activities as required.* Liaise with all staff to promote effective communication including verbal and written feedback to referring Doctor.* Familiar and complies with legal, ethical responsibilities to patients, visitors and staff.* Maintains confidentiality and an appropriate professional relationship with staff and patients.* Participates regularly in clinical supervision and continues ongoing professional development through education.Successful applicants must be registered as a Psychologist with the Psychology Board of Australia (AHPRA) and have post-graduate experience working with groups and individuals presenting with a myriad of concerns.Previous experience working with **ADF members, first responders/emergency services and veterans** with PTSD will be highly regarded.Above all, patient care will be at the core of everything you do - committing to and supporting our Mission and Values.**We can offer you*** Grade 2-3 salary banding: **$79,551 to $139,754 plus 12% Superannuation*** Permanent full-time/part-time | hours/days will be negotiated.* **Relocation assistance provided** (interstate)* Professional development such as **EMDR therapy** **training*** **Salary packaging up to** **$18,550** on a range of benefits such as mortgage, rent, meal entertainment, holiday accommodation or other everyday living expenses as well as options to salary package benefits above the FBT cap on items such as: + Novated leasing + work related expenses + self-education and + additional superannuation* A healthy work-life balance through flexible work options, additional purchased leave & well-being programs* Employee discount on St John of God Hospital & Medical Services and Private Health InsuranceFor all enquiries contact Sharee McCormick, Service Manager on 0460 307 493.If suitable applicants are identified advertisement may close prior to listed date.*St John of God Health Care embraces diversity and strongly encourages applications from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and people with disabilities.
