We are a well-established, family-owned ice supply business seeking a reliable and organised Ice Coordinator / Logistics & Dispatch Coordinator to join our operations team.
This role is ideal for a tradie, warehouse worker, or hands-on operator looking to move away from outdoor or physically demanding work and into a stable, office-based logistics and dispatch role, while still staying involved in daily operations.
About the Role
As the Ice Coordinator, you will coordinate drivers, deliveries, and customer orders to ensure smooth daily operations. The role combines dispatch, scheduling, customer service, forklift operation, and computer-based coordination.
Key Responsibilities
• Coordinating drivers and organising daily run sheets
• Dispatching and scheduling delivery routes
• Communicating with drivers throughout the day to manage changes and delays
• Taking incoming customer calls and processing orders and enquiries
• Managing delivery schedules and logistics coordination using computer systems
• Supporting general transport and warehouse operations
• Operating a forklift and helping load delivery trucks in the morning, afternoon, and throughout the day as required
Essential Requirements
• Current forklift licence (essential)
• Previous experience using computers for work (essential)
• Ability to confidently use basic systems such as email, spreadsheets, and scheduling software
• Strong work ethic and ability to work independently
Desirable Experience (Bonus)
• Experience using SalesIn
• Experience using MYOB
• Experience in logistics, dispatch, transport, warehousing, or scheduling
• Trade or hands-on operational background
• Experience coordinating drivers or delivery runs
