About the opportunity
As Australia's newest uranium producer, we're growing and looking for an experienced Senior Process Engineer to join the Production team.
Based at the Honeymoon mine in South Australia and reporting to the Process Manager, you'll provide the technical expertise required to maintain and improve the metallurgical performance of the Honeymoon process plant.
You'll safely maximise process efficiency, maintain product quality, provide operational support to improve process stability and coordinate activities across shifts and other departments.
A team of talented and motivated Process Engineers and Chemists will report to you; they take pride in their work and deliver quality results.
We're a small team and work with many departments across site and the broader business; your abilities to build positive relationships and collaborate are essential.
Being a self-starter with a flexible and agile approach is critical, every day is different, priorities change; we work in a dynamic environment.
The role will be FIFO from Adelaide, direct to site on a 4:3 roster.
Responsibilities
Drive continuous improvement in safety and environmental systems.
Work with the Production, Wellfields and Geology teams to enhance production quality, maximise recovery rates, and maintain product specifications.
Lead, develop, motivate and support your team.
Oversee timely and accurate metallurgical accounting, forecasting, and metallurgical reporting.
Conduct detailed process audits and inspections to ensure operational integrity.
Identify, prioritise, and execute short and long-term optimisation projects.
Apply data-driven decision-making and best-practice methodologies.
Lead the commissioning of new equipment.
Qualifications
A tertiary degree in metallurgy, chemical or materials engineering.
Significant metallurgical experience in a site-based mining role.
Experience with metal accounting, forecasting, and budgets.
Proven success in leading and developing small teams.
A commitment to safe work practices.
Highly developed communication skills both verbal and written.
A proactive approach combined with a continuous improvement focus.
Strong attention to detail, the ability to prioritise and a drive to achieve results.
While not essential, experience in uranium processing and a Senior First Aid Certificate will be highly regarded.
