Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Retail Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will work in a Trade store located at Gympie, QLD.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide exceptional customer service as the first point of contact for all telephone and front counter-based sales enquiries.
* Build and cultivate relationships with customers face-to-face and over the phone.
* Process customer orders and credits efficiently.
* Resolve customer complaints and problems effectively.
* Reconcile daily cash and EFTPOS transactions accurately for banking purposes.
* Participate in store replenishment exercises to maintain stock levels.
* Undertake warehouse duties as required, including picking and packing.
Requirements:
* Previous experience working in a Trade Counter and/or Customer Service role within a hardware store is highly desirable.
* Exceptional written and verbal communication skills are essential.
* A 'customer-first' mentality is vital for success in this role.
* A proactive and positive attitude with a highly motivated work ethic is required.
* The ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment is crucial.
* Experience providing innovative ideas to improve customer experiences is highly valued.
* Knowledge of the industrial product market is beneficial.
