About the Role
This permanent, full-time position requires you to conduct scheduled maintenance checks, troubleshoot defects, and manage tooling and Ground Support Equipment (GSE). You will also participate in business improvement activities and adhere to Occupational Health and Safety policies.
Your Key Responsibilities
* Conduct weekly aircraft maintenance checks efficiently to minimize downtime
* Troubleshoot daily line defects arising during flight operations
* Be available for after-hours call-outs to rectify fleet defects across Queensland
* Manage and store tooling and GSE according to policies
* Participate in quality programs and risk management activities
Your Skills and Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you should have:
* CASA B2 Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer
* Proven experience with RFDS QLD aircraft types
* Type rating on Beechcraft 300 series
* Excellent communication skills for liaising with internal and external stakeholders
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy
* Knowledge of regulatory requirements related to aircraft maintenance
