About the role
Reporting into the Distribution team manager, the store person's responsibilities will include picking, packing, and loading orders, as well as moving & scanning stock. The goal is to increase efficiency, profitability, and customer satisfaction. The store person must pay careful attention on the job and follow instructions precisely.
This is a busy, fast-paced role requiring excellent communication skills and the ability to work on own initiative as well as effectively as part of a team.
Additionally, you will ensure that working areas are kept clean and tidy at all times in line with the Company's "clean as you go" policy, ensuring audit-ready standards.
Working shift pattern is a rotation of early/late shifts on a weekly basis
Requirements Role responsibilities
* Pick, assemble, and pack orders as directed and load on vehicle safely and efficiently following company procedures.
* Receive, label, and store incoming goods per defined procedures.
* Maintain the warehouse in a tidy and hygienic condition.
* Operate mechanical handling equipment safely and perform daily checks.
* Assist with regular stock checks.
* Carry out tasks in compliance with procedures and work instructions.
* Perform other duties as assigned by the Team Leader, Distribution Team Manager, or Supply Chain Manager.
* Work safely in accordance with health & safety policies, procedures, and legislation.
* Adhere to data protection requirements within your area of responsibility.
Experience & Qualifications
* Experience in a similar role advantageous.
* FMCG experience preferred.
* Strong communication and listening skills in written and verbal formats.
* Proficient in computer systems.
* Warehouse/stock control experience desirable.
* Forklift license would be advantageous.
