We're looking for a qualified practitioner to deliver impactful services across our new Metro hubs, working with complex clients while being supported by our sector‐leading service model. You'll be part of a collaborative, values‐driven team who genuinely care about the people we support and the work we do.
What You'll Do
* Conduct comprehensive PBS assessments and develop evidence-based behaviour support plans
* Deliver therapy services to clients with intellectual disability, autism spectrum disorder, mental illness, brain injury, and trauma
* Provide support to clients through individualized therapy plans
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including Occupational Therapists, Psychologists, Early Intervention Psychotherapists, Support Coordinators
* Maintain detailed case notes and progress reports using our client database.
* Participate in regular supervision and professional development opportunities
* Registered (Suitable- Core or Proficient) experience as a Behaviour Support Practitioner is essential
* Relevant Qualification in an Allied Health background or Behavioural Science. Board certified Behaviour Analyst or over 2 years' experience in delivering Positive Behaviour Support
* Demonstrated experience working with complex needs and challenging behaviours - this is necessary
* NDIS Clearance
* Working with Children's card, National police clearance and current driving license
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Knowledge of the NDIS Quality and Safeguard Commission
Tasks & responsibilities
* Complete indirect and direct assessment including observations and data collection and collate the data for the development of Behaviour Support Plans and Functional Behavioural Assessments.
* Support NDIS participants with disability, their carers, family and significant others. Provide training and support in interventions and strategies outlined in the behaviour support plans, which may involve fade out plans for restrictive practices.
* Support the participant to meet their person‐centered goals.
* Ability to work within a multidisciplinary team.
