Xtreme Engineering is a privately owned and operated company based in Gladstone, QLD, specialising in all aspects of construction, fabrication, installation, maintenance, erection, onshore and offshore construction, demolition projects, shutdowns and maintenance services.
We are currently seeking a full-time Receptionist to join our fast-paced and professional team in Gladstone. This role is ideal for a positive, organised and proactive individual who is confident working autonomously in a reception environment, while also assisting the purchasing team during quieter periods at the front desk.
Office hours are 7:00am to 3:30pm Monday to Thursday, and 7:00am to 1:00pm Friday.
Key Deliverables:
* Act as the first point of contact for visitors, deliveries and customers, providing a professional and welcoming presence
* Answer, screen and manage incoming calls via the office switchboard and phone system
* Manage office and tearoom supplies, ensuring stock levels are maintained
* Coordinate incoming and outgoing mail, couriers and deliveries
* Draft and manage professional email correspondence using Microsoft Outlook
* Support general office operations and day-to-day administrative tasks
* Use MYOB Acumatica to create requisitions and purchase orders as requested by project managers and staff
* Provide executive assistance and administrative support to senior management
* Maintain accurate records and support internal communication across departments
Qualifications & Experience:
* Previous experience in a receptionist or administrative role (preferred)
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities
* Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook)
* Experience with MYOB Acumatica or similar systems will be highly regarded
* Professional presentation and a positive, can-do attitude
