Financial Controller required for a leading food services company
Your new company
A privately owned business, this company has a proud heritage and now supplies the national wholesale market, the major grocery retailers, along with a growing overseas customer base.
Your new role
Having responsibility for all day-to-day accounting requirements for the business, you will oversee and develop the finance team.
Using your product related experience, this role incorporates all reporting, compliance, and operational rigour. As part of the management team, reporting to the CEO and owner of the business, specific tasks include:
Preparation and management of annual budgets, forecasts and financial planning
Timely completion of month-end, year-end P&L & cash-flow
Capex management
General ledger management, balance sheet reconciliations and overhead cost allocation
Drive continuous improvement in systems and processes and utilisation of reporting tools
Provide advice and support to internal and external stakeholders
Lead and inspire the finance & admin team
Providing sound financial advice and leadership to the Board and SMT
Management of family trust and investments
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful, you will have previous experience of working as a financial controller in a product-related or food services company. You will enjoy working and developing a close-knit team and partnering with the CEO and internal stakeholders.
The ability to hit the ground running will ensure your success.
CA or CPA qualified
Leadership of a finance function, and love being in the detail
Developing business financial plans and financial tools for sound business advice
Ability to develop financial management systems (ideally Pronto) budgeting and financial reporting
Demonstrated solutions-focused approach to problem-solving and decision-making
Strong excel skills with the ability to automate reporting tools to enhance data (COGS)
Happy working on site five days (outer south-eastern suburbs' location)
