We wish to complement our existing team with an experienced Fibre Splicer to join our Fulton Hogan Utilities business in South Australia supporting our Delivery Team. This role is critical to the delivery a key telecommunication fibre infrastructure project across SA, WA and VIC. In this role you'll be responsible for: Inspecting and installing optical fibre cable and connectors Testing and commissioning live fibre networks Splicing and terminating optical fibre cable Reading and understanding cable plans and designs Fault finding and design variations Some experience in installation of equipment and cabinets would be an advantage Proven commitment to promoting safety, quality and environment compliance on site. How you'll connect to the role: Experience working as an Optical Fibre Technician on a major telecommunications network (Optus, Telstra, NBN etc) Previous Telstra experience will be an advantage ACMA Open Cable Registration with Fibre endorsements is essential Current Australian Drivers Licence and White Card Ability to work in regional areas as required Adopting and driving Fulton Hogan’s Living Safely Culture 2.0.
