As a Travel Specialist in a customer facing store, you will help to plan, book and coordinate your customer's next amazing travel experience. You will make travel easy while providing excellent service, and irresistible deals for every traveller. You will be working towards KPI's and incentive targets, therefore building your customer relationships will be critical to your success in this role.
- Using your travel experience to sell the products and destinations you love. Your roe will be New Caledonia and Tahiti Destination.
- Preparing and issuing invoices, receipt payments and maintain financial documents
- Keeping abreast of the latest travel regulations and government restrictions
- Diagnose the clients' specifications and wishes and suggest suitable travel packages or services
- Organize travels from beginning to end, through booking tickets and accommodation, securing rental transportation etc.
- Use promotional techniques and prepare promotional materials to sell itinerary tour packages
- Will keep the database up to date at all times
- Handle unforeseen problems and complaints and determine eligibility for money returns
- Attend conferences to maintain familiarity with tourism trends
- Create and update electronic records of clients
- Maintain relationships with company stakeholders
Job Qualifications: Minimum of 3 years relevant experience as a Travel Specialist Excellent knowledge of traveling software (computer reservations systems, GDS systems and e-travel) Prior experience using Sabre GDS would be highly advantageous Excellent in Business English both written and verbal; knowledge of additional languages is an advantage Exemplary sales skills and customer oriented approach Well versed in various areas of travel (domestic/international, business/holidays, group/individual etc) Experience and competency using Word, Excel, and Microsoft Outlook or G-Suite products Ability to present, persuade and communicate effectively Great attention to detail and has an eagle eye Demonstrable ability to handle crises Good organizational and time-management skills Self-directed and able to work without supervision Must have the ability to work as part of a team Strong customer and presentation skills
