About the role
The role of Assistant Director in the Darwin Local Network Office leads a team to support and strengthen the health and aged care systems across the Northern Territory. The role actively builds partnerships with stakeholders to broker solutions and drive program outcomes, while maintaining strong knowledge of relevant systems, policies, and local operating environments. It represents the department in engagements with service providers, consumers, the NT Government, and other Commonwealth agencies, ensuring effective communication and collaboration. The role monitors program performance, identifies emerging risks, implements mitigation strategies, and supports aged care providers to maintain service continuity, particularly during emergency events.

* Travel within the NT, including remote locations, and interstate is expected.
