The **People, Property, and Security Division** plays a vital role in building and supporting a strong, capable workforce. We partner with teams across the department to provide expert guidance and support in areas such as recruitment, workforce planning, inclusion and diversity, learning and development, workplace safety, and wellbeing.

Our **People Strategy and Safety Branch** is the heart of HR in the department. We're dedicated to helping our people nationwide with timely advice, personalised support, and practical solutions. Whether it's recruitment, workplace relations, performance management, or employee wellbeing, our focus is always on delivering exceptional customer service and fostering trust.

In **Recruitment Services**, we specialise in finding and placing the right people in critical roles at the right time. We are passionate about helping the department meet its workforce needs, and we're looking for talented HR professionals to join our agile and supportive team.

This is where you play an important role:
As part of the Operational Recruitment Team, you'll manage end-to-end recruitment, provide expert advice on policies and legislation, and help hiring teams attract top talent. Together, we will help shape recruitment practices that make a real difference to our workforce and the department's future success.

**What you'll do**
- Build Stakeholder Relationships: Manage effective communication through the recruitment inbox, hotline, and other channels.
- Coordinate Recruitment Activities: Process internal advertisements, non-ongoing roles, and labour hire recruitment, including transferring data between eRecruit and HRMIS systems.
- Provide Recruitment Support: Serve as the first point of contact for recruitment inquiries, offering accurate and timely advice on labour hire, non-ongoing roles, and internal recruitment processes.
- Facilitate Onboarding: Support new employees and hiring managers to ensure a positive onboarding experience.
- Manage Merit Pool Requests: Review and coordinate access to internal and external merit pools.
- Enhance Recruitment Practices: Contribute to improving recruitment policies, systems, and processes for better service delivery.
- Support Team Operations: Foster a collaborative and positive team environment, assist team members, and contribute to team, branch, and divisional priorities.
- Perform Administrative Tasks: Handle clerical and operational duties, including managing the recruitment mailbox and hotline.

**Please note **that this recruitment process will initially be used to fill the vacancy in the section and that the role may be performed from any of the locations listed above. The merit pool established through this selection process, which is valid for a period of eighteen months from the date the vacancy was advertised in the Public Service Gazette, may also be used to fill future ongoing vacancies in the branch where the duties are of a similar nature.

**What we are looking for**
**Knowledge and experience**
Knowledge of recruitment related legislation, policies, procedures and practices or the ability to quickly acquire such knowledge.
