Position Overview
The Emergency Department at the Mackay Base Hospital is seeking a Clinical Nurse to join their team on a permanent basis.
Responsibilities
The Clinical Nurse (CN) provides nursing services within the health service settings; and is responsible for a portfolio with a focus on clinical care/leadership, management, education and/or research. The activities are predominantly clinical in nature but also provide support to a Nurse Grade 7 or above in management activities. The CN provides advanced level clinical skills to ensure patient-focused evidence-based nursing care, plans and coordinates the clinical management of patient‐client care and provides leadership and support to other nursing staff.
About the Team
The Emergency Department (ED) is a level 4 (Clinical Services & Capabilities Framework). The ED provides 24-hour 365-day service for the reception, assessment, treatment, observation, admission and discharge of adults and children with urgent and non-urgent illnesses.
