About This Role
The Department of Education (DoE) hosts the Early Childhood Regulatory Authority, responsible for regulating early childhood education and care services. The Regulatory Officer supports the Authority by applying relevant ECEC legislation, standards, policies and guidelines in line with the Regulating for Quality policy. The role reports to the Manager, Regulation, in the Regional Office, Early Childhood Regulatory Authority, Early Childhood Regulation & Communication Division.
Responsibilities
* Support the Early Childhood Regulatory Authority by consistently and fairly applying relevant ECEC legislation, standards, policies and guidelines in the regulation of the ECEC sector within the context of the Regulating for Quality policy.
* Develop and maintain collaborative working relationships with internal and external stakeholders including Regional Offices, Central Office Teams and ECEC providers and services to achieve regulatory outcomes.
* Conduct assessment and rating of education and care services across Queensland.

Qualifications / About You
* Experience as a regulator or the ability to rapidly acquire knowledge of regulating the ECEC sector.
* Experience in conducting assessment and rating or the ability to rapidly acquire knowledge and complete training in conducting assessment and rating.
* Ability to analyse evidence and communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
* Ability to prioritise and complete projects and tasks efficiently; strong decision-making and risk management skills.
* Ability to work collaboratively with a range of different stakeholders.
