• Temporary full-time positions worked across a nine day fortnight
We are seeking up to six suitably experienced plant operators to assist in council's road and street maintenance and construction programs. The successful applicants will be required to operate various plant and equipment in accordance with specified standards.
To be successful in this role you will need
Qualifications
- A current driver licence with medium rigid endorsement.
- Previous experience with road and street maintenance and / or construction, preferably within a local council setting.
- Certificates of competency in plant items e.g. roller, skid steer, tractor, slasher, FE loader, backhoe

- Traffic management qualification (Desirable)
- Certificates of competency in plant items e.g. roller, skid steer, tractor, slasher, FE loader, backhoe (Desirable)
Key selection criteria
- Demonstrated ability in operating and maintaining small and/or heavy plant in an efficient and safe manner.
- Demonstrated ability to work as part of a cohesive team and follow directions.
- Knowledge of the safety requirements and use of safety equipment relevant to the position.
