Beca HunterH2O is a leading provider of water management solutions in Australia, seeking experienced Water Modellers to join our thriving team. Our team of 300+ water specialists collaborate with clients across the country, delivering innovative solutions for healthy and sustainable communities.
We are seeking experienced professionals with a strong track record in delivering modelling projects in a consulting environment. You will have a solid grounding in the theory of water and wastewater network hydraulics, and/or water resource systems, and experience using modelling software such as InfoWorks, MIKE, Source or Wathnet.
Responsibilities
* Building and calibrating hydrological and hydraulic models for water and wastewater networks and water resource systems
* Analysing and assessing hydrologic, hydraulic, GIS and survey data
* Utilising GIS software such as ArcGIS or QGIS
* Undertaking modelling investigations, options assessments, master planning, growth and development studies, and operational / control systems design and validation
* Communicating model development and model outcomes with both internal and external stakeholders, including preparation of modelling reports
* Working in collaboration with other team members to deliver a variety of systems investigations, planning studies, feasibility and strategy studies, and concept designs
About You
You are a highly motivated Water Modeller with a strong track record in successfully delivering modelling projects in a consulting environment. You hold a Bachelor of Civil or Environmental Engineering or another relevant qualification, and have five years or more of relevant work experience. You'll have a natural ability to build wide and effective networks of contacts inside and outside the organisation.
You love to learn, share knowledge and bring a fresh perspective to support the development of those around you. You constantly seek better practice to enhance the overall quality of our work and client experience.
