As a Senior Specialist Physiotherapist, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality physiotherapy services to patients with complex needs. You will be responsible for assessing, implementing, and evaluating programs of person-centred care as part of the multi-disciplinary team.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assess service user needs in relation to optimising independence and physical function
* Undertake comprehensive assessments of service users, using investigative and analytical skills to formulate individualised rehabilitation and treatment plans
* Promote choice in all aspects of clinical practice, reviewing and making suggestions to enhance the service user experience and enabling concerns and complaints to be raised freely by service users and their representatives
* Liaise and communicate with other health and social care professionals and volunteers in the planning and delivery of occupational therapy
* Ensure appropriate prescription, provision, and maintenance of equipment within available resources
* Ensure that up-to-date written and electronic records are maintained in accordance with Professional and NHS standards, and that sensitive information is held securely
* Demonstrate clinical leadership and promote clinical supervision
* Share knowledge and expertise with other staff through formal and informal teaching
* Lead on the localised training plan for NHS staff to provide physiotherapy interventions as part of overall care
Maintaining a safe working environment, maintaining service user confidentiality, and occasionally taking on reasonable additional tasks, the post holder is expected to facilitate the safe and smooth running of the Service.
