Job Description
The Water Group is seeking a Senior Communications & Engagement Advisor to support the development and delivery of strategic communications and engagement activities for the NSW Government's Reconnecting River Country Program, as well as other priority Water Group programs and projects.
This role will work closely with a range of teams in the department to help ensure a seamless and coordinated approach to external communications and engagement activities.

Key Responsibilities
* Supporting the planning, development, implementation and evaluation of communications and engagement strategies and activities with a strong focus on stakeholder and community engagement.
* Identifying emerging stakeholder matters/issues and quickly synthesising information across multiple competing projects.
* Leading the implementation and delivery of a wide range of stakeholder and community engagement activities including stakeholder identification and mapping, maintaining stakeholder databases, event coordination of town hall meetings, consultation forums, face to face meetings and online engagements.
* Developing communication materials to execute over a range of channels when required.

Requirements
* Tertiary qualifications in communications/engagement or other related discipline and/or relevant equivalent experience.
* Willingness to travel to regional and metro areas across NSW.
* Willingness to undertake International Association for Public Participation (IAP2) training.
