Operations Director
The Operations Director is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities of logistics, customer service and planning teams. They serve as a liaison with government bodies and ensure compliance with legal requirements.
* Sales & Operations Planning & Materials Management
* Partner with manufacturing and commercial teams on new product launches
* Collaborate with commercial and corporate Materials Management teams on inventory policies
* Monitor forecast accuracy and align with Product Marketing on promotions
* Balance product availability and inventory turn goals
* Identify and address potential inventory issues through promotions or returns
* Manage branch inventory and stocking strategies in line with established policies
* Configure and maintain planning parameters in Oracle, GAINS, and MEO
* Advise distributors on stock policies and backorder procedures
* Ensure compliance with import/export regulations
* Qualify and monitor external vendors
* Expedite and process customer orders with optimal fulfillment methods
* Develop and maintain core customer fulfillment processes
Warehouse & 3PL Management
* Manage third-party logistics providers to deliver safe services
* Act as liaison between warehouse, sales, distributors and headquarters
* Review and address cost-of-quality issues with corporate and regional teams
* Develop, distribute and analyze service-level reports against targets
Region/Country Leadership
* Ensure compliance with all corporate policies, labor regulations, tax laws and government requirements
* Secure necessary government approvals in coordination with Legal
* Manage facility contracts and coordinate asset purchases with consulting companies
* Lead, mentor and manage the Operations team, setting clear goals and fostering a culture of excellence
Requirements:
* 7+ years of supply chain/logistics experience
* Strong knowledge of logistics, import/export and warehousing processes
* Proficiency in ERP systems
* Strong analytical and project management skills
