Role Overview
Deputy Principal – temporary vacancy open to Expressions of Interest. Any extensions to this appointment will not exceed 12 months. The role supports the strategic leadership of a dynamic and inclusive secondary school community, enhances student engagement, wellbeing and achievement, and fosters a culture of high expectations, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
* Assist the Principal in leading the school community to develop, articulate and commit to a shared educational vision focused on providing quality learning outcomes for all students.
* Deputise for the Principal when required.
* Uphold the deputy principalship as a values‐based, ethical and moral activity.
* Embed socially‐just practices in daily school life.
Qualifications and Fit
* Strong communication skills and proven track record in leading teams.
* Strong analytical skills to review student achievement data.
* Instructional leadership experience.
* Ability to embed socially‐just practices.
Eligibility
Applicants must be a current Queensland Government employee.
