Job Overview
We are seeking a Collections Analyst to manage accounts receivable, collect outstanding debts, and cultivate customer relationships.
Responsibilities
* Manage the accounts receivable process, including invoicing and credit memos.
* Engage customers proactively, following up on outstanding invoices and resolving payment discrepancies.
* Handle incoming payments accurately, allocating and reconciling account balances.
* Investigate billing disputes, addressing inquiries in a timely manner.
* Develop and execute strategic collections initiatives to minimize bad debt and optimize cash flow.
* Monitor aging reports, prioritizing collection efforts based on customer payment behaviors.
* Generate comprehensive reports and analytics to monitor collection activities and identify emerging trends.
* Collaborate with cross‐functional teams to streamline billing and collections processes.
* Cultivate positive relationships with customers, fostering an environment conducive to successful collection efforts.
Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
* 1–3 years of experience in accounts receivable, collections, or related financial role.
* Strong knowledge of Salesforce and experience using CRM systems to maintain customer records.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with accounting software such as QuickBooks, SAP, NetSuite, or Oracle.
* Meticulous attention to detail, paired with strong analytical and problem‐solving capabilities.
* Ability to thrive independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast‐paced environment.
* Knowledge of regulatory compliance and legal requirements pertaining to collections activities is advantageous.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
* Legal work authorization in Australia is required.
