The Opportunity
Ventia has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Industrial Sewing Machinist to join our team based in Moorebank. Reporting to the Technical Supervisor, you will be a vital team member responsible for repairing various parachutes used during Defence personnel training.
* 1 x full-time permanent role, Monday to Thursday: 7am to 3:45pm, and Friday: 7am to 12pm

Key Duties
* Perform alterations such as sewing patches, hemming, and unpicking
* Assess damage and determine necessary repairs as per work orders
* Maintain accurate work order records
Could you be our next Sewing Machinist?
* Must be eligible for a Defence Security Clearance; Australian Citizenship is required
* Certificate III in Upholstery is highly regarded
* Experience in fabric/upholstery alterations
* Experience scheduling workloads and meeting deadlines
* Proficiency with zigzag and sewing machines
* Experience with parachutes is advantageous
