GENERAL DESCRIPTION
To perform theoretical and practical workshop tasks where required under the guidance of qualified technicians while striving to achieve the highest level of training results for each phase of the apprenticeship.

JOB REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATION, CERTIFICATIONS & PROFESSIONAL MEMBERSHIPS Successful completion of Year 11 or 12 Certificate I or II in Automotive Servicing by recognised RTO Drivers Licence
KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS Mechanical aptitude & reasoning
PREFERRED WORK EXPERIENCE Previous part time or casual work experience

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES & DUTIES
AUTOMOTIVE REPAIRS & TRAINING
- Under supervision, repair mechanical parts of vehicles such as engine, transmission and suspension systems
- Ensure all accessories requested on repair orders are fitted and completed
- Identify and advise of any additional work required
- Complete inspections of work in accordance with Service Check Sheet, ensuring quality checks are also performed by appropriate qualified personnel
- Produce clear and concise report detailing all work carried out on repair orders including supplies used and recommendations in a prioritised order
- Successfully complete on job and off job manufacturer training
- Ensure vehicles are properly protected when work is carried out
- Ensure all work completed is to company and manufacturer quality standards
- Ensure all customer work carried out is completed fully and efficiently the first time and clocked on/off
- Ensure workshop area, tools and equipment are cleaned and maintained to a high standard at all times
- Ensure all course work is completed and submitted on time
TEAMWORK
- Work in conjunction with other team members to ensure repairs completed
- Request assistance from supervisor if and when required
- Update job knowledge by participating in additional training and development activities as arranged
HEALTH AND SAFETY
- Practice and promote company WHS policies and processes at all times
- Ensure equipment is regularly maintained for safe and efficient operational use
- Report all incidents, injuries and near misses to General Manager
OTHER • Any other miscellaneous duties as required
