As a Product Manager - Data & Automation/AI embedded in our Technology team, you\'ll turn complex data capabilities into products that meaningfully improve decisions across the business — from customer experience to commercial performance.
Responsibilities
* Define and drive the product roadmap for data platforms and data‐enabling tools used across the David Jones enterprise
* Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders to translate ambiguous problems into clear, prioritised deliverables
* Lead discovery, requirements definition, and release planning across iterative delivery cycles
* Champion data quality, governance, and accessibility as product outcomes — not afterthoughts
Qualifications
* Proven experience as a Product Manager working with data, analytics, or platform products
* Strong ability to engage both technical teams and non‐technical business stakeholders with equal confidence
* Familiarity with modern data stack concepts — pipelines, warehousing, BI tooling — sufficient to ask the right questions
* Experience working in agile delivery environments with a structured approach to backlog management
* A track record of shipping products that generated measurable business value
* Comfort operating in a retail or consumer‐facing organisation where customer insight is a core input to product decisions
