Job Opportunity: General Surgery Fellow
Launceston General Hospital is seeking a highly skilled and motivated General Surgery Fellow to contribute to the delivery of general surgical services. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for undertaking approved general surgical outpatient and inpatient services, participating in after-hours on-call rosters, and providing leadership and mentoring for surgical registrars and Resident Medical Officers (RMOs) in training.
Key Responsibilities:
* Undertake approved general surgical outpatient and inpatient services
* Participate in the after-hours Registrar/Consultant on-call rosters
* Provide leadership and mentoring for surgical registrars and RMOs in training
* Assist with quality improvement, audit, and service improvement within the Department of Surgery
* Contribute to teaching and research activities, dependent on qualifications and interests
Working Conditions:
The General Surgery Fellow will work in a broad exposure to General Surgery environment, including operating, emergencies, and clinics. The role is well supported clinically, with additional teaching and research opportunities.
