Job Overview
Midwifery Unit Manager (MUM) – Armidale Rural Referral Hospital. Level 4 Maternity service MGP. Permanent full time. Remuneration AUD 139,802 per year.
Responsibilities
- Oversee development and day‐to‐day running of the model of Midwifery Group Practice (MGP).
- Run multidisciplinary team meetings, triage women, manage maternity workforce via rostering and performance management.
- Serve as point of contact between the MGP and the core Maternity Unit.
- Deliver clinical care to community women and babies while maintaining clinical skills.
- Recruit and manage the MGP team, coordinate with level 3 MUM, clinical midwife educators and senior managers.
- Support ongoing education and professional development for staff.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Registered Midwife with current authority to practice (AHPRA).
- Relevant tertiary qualification or experience in management.
- Valid NSW driver's licence and eligible to drive in NSW.
- Australian Citizen, permanent resident, New Zealand citizen with current New Zealand Passport, or appropriate visa that allows work in Australia (no visa sponsorship).
