Mortgage Broking Manager

Our client is seeking an experienced Mortgage Broking Manager to take ownership of broker performance, credit excellence and submission quality across the business. This is a leadership role for someone who's technically strong, commercially sharp, and passionate about developing brokers into 'best-in-industry' professionals.
Based in their stylish Inner city office, you'll partner closely with operations and compliance to ensure deals are structured exceptionally well, submitted consistently, and progressed efficiently, without compromising responsible lending standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & People Development
* Lead, coach and manage Mortgage Brokers and Credit Analysts (structured 1:1s, coaching sessions, performance reviews)
* Set clear expectations on deal quality, submission standards, lender selection and compliance discipline
* Mentor aspiring brokers and future leaders through exposure to complex scenarios
Deal Quality, Credit Excellence & Compliance
* Ensure strong credit narratives, documentation, structure and risk management
* Coach brokers through complex lending (including investment, construction, SMSF, and multi-entity deals)
* Reinforce NCCP/responsible lending and aggregator compliance requirements
Operational Performance & Workflow
* Oversee loan processing and offshore processing performance
* Drive SLA adherence across submissions, approvals and settlements
* Maintain high data integrity across systems and implement reporting procedures
What you'll Bring:
* 5–7+ years' experience as a Mortgage Broker with strong credit expertise and leadership experience
* Proven experience leading and coaching brokers or credit teams
* Strong technical capability across a range of lending structures and lender policy
* Calm, credible leadership style in complex credit environments
* High standards for quality, compliance, documentation and decision making
* Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
* Current industry qualifications and memberships
