Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Agribusiness Specialist to drive technical programs related to tree, vine, and soil health.
* Soil, leaf, and fruit monitoring for disease, pests, and weeds is essential in ensuring the optimal health of our orchards. The successful candidate will be responsible for collecting, analysing, and interpreting data samples of plant, soil, and other factors affecting production to assist in decision making for orchard nutrition and pest/disease management.
* A key aspect of this role is implementing and managing Integrated Pest Management (IPM) programs using science-based tools and analysis of data to ensure best practice. The candidate will also be responsible for studying and trialling new methods and products to ensure continued improvements to orchard health, nutrient levels, soil structure, and pest/disease pressures.
* As part of our team, the Agribusiness Specialist will assist with general farm hand duties, orchard administration, and irrigation duties as required. They will also be responsible for ensuring a high level of compliance with Health and Safety requirements at all times.
