About The Role
You'll be leading physiotherapy input throughout our new Elective Orthopaedic Centre, with a focus on early intervention and enhanced recovery. Working closely with the multidisciplinary team, you'll help implement innovative processes that support safe discharge by day 2 post-op, while identifying patients early who may require extended inpatient care or transfer.
Key Responsibilities Include
* Delivering high-quality physiotherapy for post-operative elective surgery patients
* Leading and supporting service innovation and change initiatives
* Collaborating with surgeons, nursing staff, and ward-based teams to optimise patient flow
* Supervising and supporting Allied Health Assistants and junior staff
* Balancing a busy clinical caseload while contributing to team capability
About You
We're seeking a clinician with:
* Strong musculoskeletal knowledge and clinical reasoning in acute orthopaedics
* Experience working in a change-management environment
* Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to influence practice improvement
* High-level written and verbal communication skills across clinical and managerial teams
* Proven ability to support and supervise Allied Health Assistants
Requirements
* Physiotherapist with current Authority to Practice with AHPRA
