Are you a passionate, hands-on chef with a proven track record of leading a team and driving success in the kitchen? Brickfield Hospitality is seeking an experienced and motivated Head Chef to oversee our 14-person, 4-kitchen pub operation
What We're Offering:
Full-time position with a competitive salary of $95-$105K plus super
An opportunity to shape menus, inspire your team, and work closely with the senior leadership team
Key Responsibilities:
Hands-On Leadership: Be actively involved in kitchen operations, setting the standard for excellence.
Team Management: Recruit, train, and mentor a team of 14 cooks and kitchen staff.
Financial Accountability: Manage food and wage costs, working within budget targets to maximize profitability.
Safety & Compliance: Ensure the kitchens operate to the highest safety and compliance standards.
Menu Innovation: Collaborate with the team to develop seasonal menus, specials, and standout offerings.
Collaboration & Communication: Hold regular meetings with the venue licensee and marketing team to align on promotions, events, and business goals.
What We're Looking For:
Proven experience as a Head Chef in a busy kitchen operation with 3 years+ experience
Strong people management skills with a passion for developing talent
A hands-on approach, willing to step in wherever needed
Exceptional organizational and time-management abilities
A deep understanding of food costs, labour management, and kitchen operations
Must reside and hold a valid working visa in Australia
