We're seeking a commercially minded Litigation Lawyer (open to both Commercial Litigation, Construction Litigation or a mix of both) who is a LEADER who's ready to transition from "senior operator" to business partner. This is a rare opportunity to join a growing Brisbane-based litigation practice in a key leadership position, shape strategy, lead delivery, and progress to equity as you make your mark.
The Opportunity
You'll work closely with the leadership team to strengthen operations, lift capability, and drive performance across projects and people. This is not a standard senior management role — it's designed for someone who wants to build value, influence direction, and step into ownership.
What You'll Be Doing
* Take a leadership role across construction and commercial litigation operations and project delivery
* Actively involved with high level construction matters and overseeing files with your team of solicitors
* Lead and mentor teams, setting clear expectations and lifting standards
* Implement (and improve) systems, processes, and performance reporting
* Partner on strategic planning, pipeline management, and profitability
* Bring a strong commercial lens to risk, program, procurement and delivery outcomes
* Act as a key representative of the business with clients and stakeholders.
About You
* Solid construction background (e.g. commercial, industrial, residential, or mixed projects) and/or Commercial Litigation background
* Demonstrated management experience — leading teams, improving performance, driving outcomes
* Strong commercial acumen: understanding margins, risk, delivery, and decision-making
* A collaborative leader who builds trust and brings calm, confident direction
* Entrepreneurial mindset — you want to contribute beyond your job description
* Brisbane-based (or ready to relocate) and motivated by a pathway to equity
