Job Description
The Library Technical Services Officer plays a vital role in delivering customer and technical services to internal and external clients. This involves providing circulation services, customer support, and developing/maintaining the library website and social media platforms.
This position requires strong organizational and communication skills, with attention to detail and ability to work effectively under pressure. The successful candidate will have a strong passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences and making a positive impact within the community.
This role also involves supporting the planning and delivery of library programs, events, and staff training. Additionally, you will be responsible for maintaining library records, statistics, and databases, contributing to acquisitions, cataloguing, and collection maintenance.
* Circulation Services: Providing timely and effective assistance to customers, including answering queries and resolving issues related to book borrowing, returns, and renewals.
* Customer Support: Offering high-quality support to customers through various channels, including face-to-face, phone, and email interactions.
* Library Website and Social Media: Maintaining and updating the library's online presence, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information is available to the public.
Key Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will require:
* A Diploma of Library and Information Services (Library Technical Studies) or equivalent qualification.
* A current Class C Driver's license.
* A Working with Children Check.
