Grounds Maintenance Supervisor – Full Time
Tropical Fruit World is one of Australia's most unique working farms and tourism destinations, spanning orchards, gardens, visitor areas, and scenic landscapes across a large rural property.
We are seeking an experienced Grounds Maintenance Supervisor to take ownership of lawn maintenance, weed control, machinery operation, and overall presentation of the property. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys working outdoors, operating machinery, and leading by example.
About the Role
Reporting to the Farm Supervisor, and Farm Co-ordinator you'll be responsible for the day-to-day upkeep of lawns, orchards, gardens, and access areas across the property, ensuring the farm is safe, well-presented, and maintained to a high standard.
Key responsibilities include:
* Lawn, orchard, and grounds maintenance including mowing, slashing, brush cutting, and vegetation control
* Tractor operation for mowing, spraying, and general grounds work
* Mechanical and chemical weed control across orchards, hardstands, and access areas
* Operation, care, and maintenance of tractors, mowers, spray rigs, and tools
* Logging tasks, spray records, and observations accurately using Farmable
* Maintaining clean, organised, and compliant workshops and equipment sheds
* Supporting site presentation, pathways, and general farm amenity
* Working closely with other departments to support daily operations and visitor experience
About You
You're practical, reliable, and take pride in maintaining high-quality outdoor environments.
You'll bring:
* Proven experience in grounds maintenance, farming, horticulture, or similar outdoor roles
* Strong tractor and machinery operating experience
* Knowledge of weed control and safe chemical application
* Current chemical application accreditation (or willingness to obtain)
* A proactive, safety-first mindset
* Strong time management and organisational skills
* The ability to work independently while supporting a wider team
Supervisory or leadership experience is an advantage, but a strong hands-on operator with initiative will also be considered.
