What You'll Be Doing
Join EMHAART and play a vital role in assessing, intervening, and responding to individuals presenting to the emergency department with mental health needs. You will be responsible for managing risk effectively and supporting patients throughout their journey in the ED setting, ensuring compassionate and timely care.
Additionally, you will collaborate with service providers and agencies to facilitate assertive and efficient service delivery. Your work will be guided by holistic, evidence-based care principles and aligned with MNCLHD and Ministry of Health policies and directives.
About You
Do you have current Registration with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia; or Bachelor of Social Work and eligible for membership to the Australian Association of Social Workers; or Current Registration with the Nurses and Midwives Board of Australia. Must hold as a minimum a bachelor's degree in counselling or a related field; or must hold a minimum of a bachelor's degree in a relevant field i.e. Bachelor of Health Science (Mental Health) and demonstrated competency to provide contemporary specialist mental health care, crisis assessment, care management, consultation and liaison services.
