Overview
Registered Nurse – Intake and Triage role at NSW Health, Nepean Hospital. NBMLHD Drug and Alcohol Service seeking an experienced and passionate Registered Nurse to join our Intake Team.
Responsibilities
* Coordinate clinical care for individuals seeking support for substance use.
* Manage a high volume of client activity and respond to enquiries from families, clients, and external agencies.
* As the first point of contact, assess risk and facilitate timely access to treatment pathways that reduce harm and improve health outcomes.
* Work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment in which drug and alcohol nursing expertise contributes to service delivery.
Qualifications
* Current registration to practice as a Registered Nurse (Division 1) with AHPRA, including completion of new graduate RN program or equivalent experience.
* Comprehensive understanding of substance use disorders, treatment and harm minimisation principles.
* Experience working with people presenting with an acute drug and alcohol problem.
* Ability to engage with clients to enhance service delivery and guide others in providing service excellence.
* Strong written and verbal communication, interpersonal skills and clinical judgement.
* Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team and autonomously.
* Knowledge of risk management, safety and quality principles and the nurse\'s role in applying them.
* Current NSW Driver\'s licence and willingness to use for work purposes.

Remuneration: $72,152.53 - $101,299.48 per annum
