As our organisation grows, we're looking for a Payroll Manager to join our team and play a key role in delivering accurate, timely, and compliant payroll services that support our people and operations. About The Role
The Payroll Manager is responsible for delivering accurate, efficient and timely payroll processing across the organisation. The role requires careful management of all payroll cycles, a strong focus on compliance with legislation, awards and statutory obligations, and the ability to provide clear payroll reporting. You'll also support employees with payroll enquiries and contribute to smooth, reliable payroll operations.
In The Role You Will
* Administer fortnightly and monthly payrolls, ensuring all payroll documents and leave applications are accurate, authorised and processed on time.
* Reconcile PAYG tax and superannuation contributions, including annual reconciliations, and ensure all statutory deadlines are met.
* Process manual payments and final entitlements for departing employees, ensuring P&C approval and accurate calculations.
* Maintain and update superannuation records, notify funds of any changes, and ensure employer contributions are submitted on time.
* Work with IT and payroll providers to resolve system issues, support employee self‐service, and submit required reports to government agencies.
Ideally you will have
* TAPS Payroll Certification or solid on‐the‐job payroll and administration experience.
* At least 5 years' experience in payroll processing, including time and attendance systems.
* Strong knowledge of PAYE tax, payroll tax, superannuation legislation, workers compensation requirements, and relevant NRL/ARLC policies and procedures.
* High‐level interpersonal skills, with the ability to exercise discretion and maintain confidentiality.
* The ability to interpret employment conditions across legislation, awards and internal manuals.
