Part‐time (2 days per week) – position code 531723 – located in Dandenong, VIC (3175). Max term until 30 December 2027, closing on 10 June 2026.

Your new role

This position is within the Family Violence Therapeutic Service and involves delivering therapeutic interventions—individual counselling and groupwork—to children and young people affected by family violence, and consulting with local professionals who refer to the program.

You will be responsible for

* Contributing to the development and delivery of a high‐quality therapeutic service for families who experienced family violence.
* Managing a caseload of counselling clients (children and young people) in Southern Melbourne.
* Developing and facilitating evidence‐based therapeutic group work.
* Completing Multi‐Agency Risk Assessment and Management (MARAM) assessments and safety planning for all clients and maintaining them throughout engagement.
* Managing risk and safety collaboratively with clients and other services using the Family Violence Information Sharing Scheme (FVISS) and the Child Information Scheme (CISS) as required.

Your skills and experience

Applicants must hold a relevant degree qualification in Social Work or a related family‐violence discipline (AQF Level 7 or above), in line with Victorian Government requirements. See Mandatory Minimum Qualifications Policy for details. Preferred pathways include related experience and alternative qualifications.

You will also have

* Current drivers licence valid in Victoria.
* Understanding of the gendered nature of family violence and relevant theoretical frameworks.
* Experience in therapeutic counselling and groupwork with children and young people affected by family violence.
