We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Clinical Nurse to join our dynamic Operating Theatre team. This role is ideal for a nurse with strong perioperative experience who thrives in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment and is passionate about delivering exceptional surgical care.
As a Clinical Nurse, you will provide advanced clinical support across all phases of perioperative nursing—scrub/scout, anaesthetics, and recovery—and play a key role in mentoring junior staff and driving best practice standards.
This vacancy is part of SMHS and may be used to fill other similar vacancies within the health service for up to twelve (12) months from endorsement of the recruitment decision.
Responsibilities
* Provide advanced clinical support across all perioperative nursing phases: scrub/scout, anaesthetics, and recovery.
* Mentor junior staff and drive best practice standards within the Operating Theatre team.
* Deliver evidence-based nursing care and promote patient safety and quality of care within scope of practice.
* Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive perioperative care.
Qualifications and Experience
* Strong perioperative experience in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment.
* Ability to provide clinical leadership and mentoring within the theatre setting.
