Western Geotechnical and Laboratory Services is seeking an experienced Office Manager to join their team in a full-time position based in Welshpool. In this role, you will be responsible for providing administrative support to the company's leadership, operations and finance teams, ensuring the efficient and effective management of day-to-day office activities.

What you'll be doing

Office Operations & Administration: Oversee day‐to‐day office functioning and providing comprehensive administrative support, including developing and maintaining office procedures and administrative systems.

HR Support: Recruitment, personnel and training administration including assisting with onboarding and offboarding processes.

Financial & Basic Accounting Support: Managing office budgets and costs. Support for payroll processing and administration.

Workplace Health & Safety (WHS) Support & Compliance: Maintain WHS documentation and coordinate with operations the fire safety, evacuation plans, and first aid arrangements.

Leadership Team Support: Assist with preparing reports, presentations, minutes, agendas and correspondence.

Communication & Coordinationb> Handle incoming and outgoing communications, ensuring that messages and requests are addressed promptly and professionally. Manage company communications and meeting coordination.

Compliance & Governance Support: Maintain registers (risk, asset, compliance) and assist with internal audits and policy reviews.

Technology & Systems Support: Support the administration of office software, hardware and systems. Liaising with IT providers for troubleshooting and system maintenance. Maintain digital filing systems.

Event Coordination: Coordinate internal events and team building activities.

What we're looking for

Minimum 3-5 years of office management experience in a similar role

Ability to multi-task and adapt as circumstances change

Determine to deliver results with a resolute mindset

Ability to navigate upwards with confidence

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with both internal and external stakeholders

Strong organisational and time management skills

Ability to prioritise tasks and work autonomously

Proficient in the use of various office software applications, including Microsoft Office suite and email management tools

A keen eye for detail and a commitment to maintaining accurate and up-to-date records

A flexible and adaptable approach to work, with the ability to thrive in a fast‐paced, dynamic environment

Australian work rights are required for this position
