Capable and experienced Electrician / Traffic Signals Technician required for work with a traffic signals team based from a depot at Russell Vale
To be suitable for this role, applicants will need to hold an Electrical Contractor Licence or a qualified Supervisor Certificate (Electrical). Electrician skills will be utilised on a daily basis.
You must hold a current and valid Australian driver licence (C class minimum, MR preferred) and have a willingness to work outside normal working hours and travel on occasion. This work unit provides a 24-hour emergency response, so you must be willing to undertake rostered callout duties to any site to repair faults within specified response times, including some unplanned overtime and travel away from home.
This role is required to perform construction, maintenance, repairs and modification of complex intelligent traffic systems equipment and tunnel power and life safety equipment, in accordance with current specifications and instructions.
Previous experience with signalling is desirable, or a genuine capacity to be trained in this field of work.
This role will involve working full time hours of work (76 hours/fortnight), initially for a period of approximately 5 months until the end of August, with potential for further work beyond this time. A start of work ASAP is required.
