Pressure Welder Heavy Industries Full Time

Core Skills
Experience in Pressure Welding:
- Candidates should have extensive experience (5+ years experience) in welding techniques, specifically related to pressure vessels and high-pressure piping systems. Include previous work in industries such as oil and gas, chemical processing, or power generation, where pressure welding is commonly required.
Proficiency in TIG, MIG, and ARC Welding:
- A strong command of TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas), MIG (Metal Inert Gas), and ARC welding is essential. These welding techniques are frequently used in pressure welding, and the ability to switch between them based on project requirements is necessary.
Reading and Interpreting Blueprints & Welding Symbols:
- Candidates must be able to accurately read technical drawings, blueprints, and welding symbols to ensure that welding tasks meet precise design specifications.
Knowledge of AS / NZS Welding Standards and Codes:
- A deep understanding of the Australian and New Zealand welding standards (AS/NZS) is vital. Ensuring safety and compliance with industry norms.
Welding Proficiency (Pressure Welding):
- Demonstrates proficiency in welding under high-pressure conditions and compliance with regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform pressure welding on pipes, vessels, and structural components.
- Ensure welds meet stringent safety and quality standards.
- Operate welding equipment and related tools safely and efficiently.
- Follow blueprints, diagrams, and work instructions to ensure accuracy.
- Inspect work for defects and perform necessary repairs.
- Collaborate with engineering and inspection teams to ensure compliance.
Additional Qualifications and experience desired:
CNC Programming
Additional Experience in CNC Programming Desired:
- Experience in Loop, Motion and Axis CNC Controllers including but not limited to Fanuc, Heidenhain, Siemens and Mitsubishi (3+ years experience) with the ability to programming Manual, CAM and Conversational programming.
CNC Operation
Additional Experience in CNC Operations Desired:
- Experience in CNC Operations (3+ years experience) with experience in Horizontal Machining Centers, Vertical Machining Centers and Turning Centers.
Fabrication
Additional Experience in Metal Fabrication is Desired:
- Experience in the Metal Fabrication (3+ years experience) using a variety of equipment and techniques - must have the competency to machine to fine tolerances using machining tools to press, cut, grind, plane, bore and drill metals.
