About the Role:
We are seeking an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer - Structuresto join our Maintenance Repair Overhaul (MRO) Services team at RAAF Base Amberley, Queensland.
* Maintain / modify aircraft systems and perform depot servicing requirements.
* Undertake aircraft maintenance activities in support of Product Support Training & Maintenance (PST&M) - MRO Services Capability.
* Tasking may include system modification, manufacture and/or assembly activities for aircraft and aircraft component maintenance.
Responsibilities:
• Structures aircraft and component servicing
• Provide direction and supervision as necessary
• Undertake structures Quality Inspection activities
• Completion of assigned tasks by undertaking a variety of activities, requiring the application of training provided in accordance with the appropriate documentation
• Contribute to improvements in the performance of the team
• Ensuring all maintenance tasks carried out are IAW the applicable Maintenance Organisation Exposition (MOE) and certified in the maintenance documentation
• Promoting a safe and healthy work environment by ensuring compliance with EH&S policies and procedures
• Liaise with 21J Design Organisation and Continuing Airworthiness Management Organisation in relation to repair design and incorporation
• Be available for both A Shift and B Shift, rostering in rotation with other section members
Qualifications and Requirements:
• Certificate IV in Aero skills (Structures)
• Be able to demonstrate an understanding of Quality Assurance (QA) procedures
• Hold or be able to obtain a Defence Security Clearance of Negative Vetting 1
• Meet the security requirements of the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR)
• Be able to demonstrate a good knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety procedures
• Hold a C class driver's license
Desirable Criteria:
• Elevated Work Platform TLILIC2005A or equivalent
• Work Safely at Heights RIIOHS204A or equivalent
• Composite repair training IAW DASR 145.A.30(f) AMC1. Composite Specialist Course (216309) or equivalent Adhesive Bonding Techniques (112570)
• Composite and Bonding recertification - currency within the last 3 years (36 months)
• Confined Space training
