Job Summary
Mental Health Registered Nurses play a vital role in our healthcare team, providing holistic care to Defence members as part of a multidisciplinary team of medical and allied health professionals.
Key duties include:
* Conducting comprehensive intake assessments and risk evaluations to inform treatment plans.
* Providing crisis intervention and support services to Defence members.
* Developing and implementing case formulation and treatment planning strategies to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
* Delivering evidence-based programmatic treatment interventions to promote recovery and well-being.
* Coordinating patient care with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless transitions and continuity of care.
* Assisting with medication management and ensuring accurate dosing and administration.
About Your New Role
To be successful in this position, you will need:
* A current unconditional and unrestricted registration as a Registered Nurse in Australia with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
* Credentialling with the Australian College of Mental Health Nurses (ACMHN), or equivalent qualifications such as a Graduate Diploma in Mental Health Nursing.
* Minimum 2 years full-time (or part-time equivalent) Post Registered Nurse general registration experience within the previous 5 years in mental health settings.
* Australian citizenship to obtain the required Baseline Security Clearance for this role.
