**The Role**

The newly established ADF Cadets Directorate within Joint Support Services Division (JSSD) is seeking highly motivated APS 5's to join our team to perform the roles of Secretariat Officer and Coordination Officer.

The Secretariat Officer will provide high level administration and secretarial support to assist in the management of various One Cadet Committees, and will require the ability to collaborate widely to develop and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders. This role will include monitoring regulatory compliance requirements, and coordinating, compiling and distributing meeting papers, submissions and reports. It will also require providing assisting in generating meeting outcomes, and maintaining issues registers and action item follow up for meetings.

The Coordination Officer will provide coordination, administrative support, and assistance with ADF Cadet Governance and reporting requirements. The Coordination Officer will perform task tracking, records management, HR and recruitment, finance, research, and other general administration support as required. In this role, it is essential to demonstrate high level written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail, and excellent coordination, administrative and interpersonal skills.

**About our Team**

JSSD provides a range of capabilities and support services including Gender, Peace and Security; Youth Policy, Programs and Training; Youth Protection and Reporting; ADF Sports; Military Legal Service and Reserve & Employer Support to contribute to Defence capability and preparedness.

The ADF Cadets Directorate within JSSD provides complementary supporting and enabling functions, and seeks to achieve standardisation across the three ADF Cadet programs, where practicable, for policy, administration and youth protection.

- Have excellent verbal and written communication skills;
- Strong attention to detail, ability to exercise sound judgement and highly developed task management, administrative, planning and organisational skills.
- Build and sustain effective relationships with all relevant stakeholders.
- Work collaboratively and across the ADF Cadet organisations to deliver One Cadet outcomes.
- Interpret and comply with legislative, policy and regulatory frameworks where appropriate.
